It was in 2005 that for the first time, the book The Prayer of Tarawih التراويح was published in French.
After three years of investigation, in 2008 it was republished, expanded and translated into English and Arabic.
Twelve years of additional investigations have passed, so that on August 21, 2020, the reissue of the book The Prayer of Tarawih التراويح saw the light of day in French and Turkish.
End of 2023 - Beginning of 2024, i.e. 3 years later, we are re-publishing the book The Prayer of Tarawih التراويح in an expanded and corrected version, in French and Arabic.
This “adventure” began one day in 2005, when during my readings, I became aware of this hadith: “From now on, O faithful, pray in your homes, because the best prayer for a man is that which he does at home, unless it is a matter of canonical prayer [1].” Due to his peremptory nature, he then challenged me strongly.
I then questioned myself deeply. What theological theory, what scholarly reflection, could justify us doing the exact opposite?
Is this hadith false? Poorly translated? Repealed?
From that day in 2005 to today and probably until the end of my days, I will not stop pulling the string, so that, if Allah allows me, I can finally know the truth.
This truth which has been and I am absolutely convinced, incredibly well concealed by most often, those who believe that Omar ibn Khattab رضي الله عنه is part of the belief and sometimes much more than the prophet himself!
I know I will never know the whole truth, but as of today, I know enough to say that we have been lied to.
